The Service Caster Series #55 is ideal for heavy duty platform trucks, welding fixture tables, steel handling carts, tow line carts and power drawn equipment. The cold forged top plate and yoke base is bright zinc plated and treated for long wear and added strength. Wheels come in either phenolic- which are highly resistant to impact damage, providing protection for floors in commercial and industrial settings- or non-marking, non-marring polyurethane tread, which performs especially well on hard surfaces such as concrete, tile, and wood.

These Service Caster Series #55 Phenolic casters offer various wheel sizes and mounting heights: 6” Wheel: 7-1/2” mounting height & 8” wheel: 10-1/8” mounting height.
Weight capacity ranges from 1,800 lbs on the 8” caster.
Top plate measures at 4-1/2" x 6-1/4" with a bolt hole pattern of 2-7/16" x 4-15/16" to 3-3/8" x 5-1/4" and can either be bolted or welded on.
Brake options include a side lock brake (SLB) which applies a positive locking force against the wheel hub which prevents the wheel from moving freely.
